“The Manix Lake Lithic Industry in Historical Perspective”

Claude N. Warren

Abstract

The Lake Manix Complex is found in the Mojave Desert along ancient shorelines and represents one of the earliest human occupations of the Desert. This paper examines relevant data on the complex and discusses some of the most recent thoughts on both the temporal and cultural placement of the complex. Dee Simpson's pioneering work is referenced and placed into perspective.
